1. Withdrawal from participation at the participant’s initiative
If you cannot attend the event, please notify us as early as possible using the contact details listed on the website.
A request for a refund or transfer of participation will be considered under these Terms and the requirements of applicable Ukrainian law.
If the law gives the purchaser the right to withdraw from a distance contract within a statutory period, that right is exercised in the manner established by Ukrainian law.
If the statutory withdrawal period has passed, the following UA Community rules apply:
- more than 7 calendar days before the event — a refund or transfer of payment to another UA Community event may be available;
- 3 to 7 calendar days before the event — payment may be transferred to another UA Community event with the organiser’s approval;
- less than 72 hours before the event — funds are generally not refunded, as the organiser may already have incurred costs for venue booking, catering, materials, staff and other services.
Where Ukrainian law provides other mandatory refund rules, the legal requirements apply.
2. Transferring a ticket to another person
If a participant cannot attend, they may transfer their place to another person unless otherwise stated in the description of the specific event.
To change the participant, please notify UA Community in advance and provide the new participant’s name and contact details.
For certain personalised workshops, educational programmes or events, transfer of participation may be limited.
3. Cancellation by the organiser
If UA Community cancels an event, the participant will be offered a choice of:
- a refund of 100% of the amount paid for participation; or
- transfer of the paid amount to another UA Community event, with the participant’s consent.
Refunds are made using the same payment method used for payment, unless otherwise agreed by the parties or provided by the payment system rules.
4. Change of date or time
If the date or a material part of the event time changes, UA Community will notify registered participants using the contact details provided.
If the new date does not work for a participant, they may contact UA Community to request a refund or transfer of payment to another event.
5. Programme changes
Replacement of an individual speaker, DJ, host, teacher or artist; a change in the order of performances; or a minor programme adjustment is not considered a cancellation if the main format and content of the event are retained.
If the nature or content of an event changes materially, refund matters are considered under Ukrainian law and these Terms.
6. Force majeure
If an event cannot be held due to circumstances beyond the organiser’s control, including an air-raid alert, military action, decisions of public authorities, emergencies, natural disasters, accidents or other force majeure events, UA Community may reschedule the date or change the event format.
Information on next steps, rescheduling and the possibility of a refund or credit toward another event will be communicated to participants separately, taking into account the circumstances and legal requirements.
7. Workshops and events with individually prepared materials
For workshops, masterclasses and other events for which UA Community purchases materials, products, personalised sets or incurs other costs for a particular participant in advance, the refund terms may differ.
Any special terms are stated in the description of the relevant event before payment.
8. How to request a refund
To arrange a refund or transfer of participation, please contact UA Community using the details listed on the website and provide:
the participant’s first and last name, event name, event date, contact phone number or email used for the order, and the reason for the request.
Where necessary, UA Community may request proof of payment.
Refunds are made to the same payment method used for payment unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
The actual time it takes for funds to arrive may depend on the bank and payment system.
9. Governing law
These Terms apply subject to the requirements of current Ukrainian law, including the Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Protection”, the Law of Ukraine “On Electronic Commerce” and the Civil Code of Ukraine.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by contract under applicable law.
